ZEAL UPDATE
As of Friday October 10th, 2025 Vangst has switched from Gusto to Zeal for all payroll services. All of your information has been moved over, and this change will not cause any delays to your paychecks.
Q: What's happening with Vangst's payroll provider?
Vangst has switched from Gusto to Zeal for all payroll services. All of your information has been moved over, and this change will not cause any delays to your paychecks.
In the future, all of your gig details, timesheets, and payroll information will be available in the Vangst Workforce App, Pikl. But for now, you can set up a Zeal account to view and update your payroll, tax, and banking information.
How to set up your Zeal account
Check your email for an invite link to create a password and log in to your account.
Once you've logged in, review and update your information as needed.
You can also watch this short video for a quick demo of the process.
If you don't want to set up an account, you can text the Vangst Help Desk to get a link to update your information. For security, our team may need to verify your identity before making any changes.

If you can’t clock in using the app do the following:
Clock in by texting the Help Desk 970-329-7261 with your name and phone number. The time of the text will be recorded as your clock in and the time that you clock out so make sure you do it immediately upon work.
Sign in on the sign in sheet.
To prevent payroll errors, it is very important that you both text the Help Desk and sign the sign in sheet.

Go to app.zeal.com
Enter your password
If Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled, complete that step
Click Sign In
If you can’t remember your password, use the “Forgot Password” link to reset it.

Once logged in:
All paychecks and paystubs will be located in the bottom of the main dashboard page
Select the pay period you want to view
Download or view the pay stub / earnings summary
You’ll be able to see gross earnings, deductions, net pay, and year-to-date totals.

To update personal data (name, address, phone, etc.):
Log in to app.zeal.com
Click Settings in the menu
Click Edit / Update
Make your changes
Save / Submit the update
Some changes (e.g. legal name change) may require supporting documentation (e.g. driver’s license, marriage certificate). The system will prompt you if that’s needed.

To update your tax elections (W-4, state withholding, allowances, etc.):
Click Settings in the menu
Choose Tax Information in the drop-down menu
Enter your new withholding values or status
Save or submit your changes
Your new tax settings will apply to future pay periods (not retroactively). The system may provide a preview of how your net pay would change with the new settings.

Go to Pay / Payment Methods / Direct Deposit
Click Settings in the menu
Choose Bank Information from the drop-down menu
Add account
If you
don’t add a direct deposit account, a paper paycheck will be mailed to your address in the personal information section by default.Be sure to double-check bank numbers; incorrect info may delay your deposit.

Personal / address updates: Usually effective immediately or after approval
• Tax withholding changes: Typically affect the next paycheck or subsequent pay cycles
• Direct deposit changes: May require one or more pay periods to process, depending on timing & validation
• Name / legal changes: May require HR or payroll review and supporting documentation before being accepted -
Some settings might be locked after payroll cutoff (i.e. once processing begins, changes are disabled).
• You might not have the required user permissions for certain updates (e.g. salary change, title change).
• Name or legal changes may require manager / HR approval before being allowed.
• If an option doesn’t appear, contact your HR or Payroll team and ask them to enable or assist. -
Absolutely. Zeal uses encryption, secure authentication, and data protection controls to safeguard your information. Only authorized users (you, payroll / HR) can access or change your data.
